The Architecture of Efficiency: Agentforce Builder
The magic happens within Agentforce Builder, where you can define exactly what “jobs” your agent needs to perform. Think of it as giving a new team member a highly specialised manual.
How it works:
Define Topics: You categorise tasks such as Donor Management, Stewardship, or General FAQs.
Give Specific Instructions: You tell the agent how to behave. For example, “If a user asks about giving history, summarise their gift transactions and opportunities”.
Assign Intelligent Actions: The agent can be granted the power to pull Donation History, Summarise Donors, or provide Knowledge Responses.
From Setup to Interaction: Testing the Fundraising Agent
One of the most powerful features of Agentforce is the ability to test and customise the agent for your specific organisation’s needs. Within the Builder, you can manage assigned topics and ensure the agent stays within its “Scope”, for instance, instructing it only to manage donor-related tasks and nothing else.
The Conversation Preview
The Builder includes a Conversation Preview window where you can watch the agent’s “reasoning” in real-time.
In a recent test, we asked the agent to “Tell me about Alex Garcia the account”. If multiple records exist, the agent doesn’t guess; it asks for clarification.
Once the correct record is selected, it returns:
- A summary of interactions.
- Giving history.
- A recommended approach for donor stewardship.
Real-World Impact: Live Record Interaction
Once activated, your team can interact with the agent directly from donor records. It’s like having a research assistant sitting right inside your CRM. The agent can even suggest “recommended actions” based on donor data, such as highlighting that a donor’s interests in “Youth Welfare” or “Poverty Alleviation” make them a perfect candidate for a specific upcoming campaign.
Security You Can Trust: The Einstein Trust Layer
We know that data privacy is non-negotiable for nonprofits. That’s why these agents are built on the Einstein Trust Layer.
- Data Masking: It removes or masks Personally Identifiable Information (PII) before it’s processed.
- Zero Data Retention: Your sensitive donor data is not used to train the LLM models.
- Audit Trails: Admins can monitor exactly who is engaging with the agent and ensure the tone remains perfect for your brand.
